Leadership Expectations
**The Council of Leaders**
The Council of Leaders is made up of the founding members of ~XPG~. The Council works within a democratic structure voting on what is best for all of ~XPG~. These ideals keep the community from being about one person’s quest.
**Community Leader** (XCL)
Community Leaders are responsible for XPG as a whole and all divisions therein. Community Leaders are the role models for the entire XTREME PRECISION GAMERZ. Community Leaders are responsible for helping the Division Leaders with decisions pertaining to their specific Divisions in the community. Community Leaders must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online interaction.
Community Leaders Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the clan..
• Work closely with The Council of Leaders to ensure all decisions are fair and to police any favoritism or questionable decision making that could negatively affect the community as a whole.
• Keep an open line of communication with all the Council Leaders and hold meetings to communicate the direction of the Community as well as decisions made for the community.
• Be an Administrator on the website, which means enforcing the rules and guidelines by giving infractions or banning offending members. Monitor other Board/Counsel to ensure no abuse of privileges on the Discord, snapchat, facebook are being abused. (Excessive banning, threatening members with a ban, etc.)
**Rank Structure**
Every member of XTREME PRECISION GAMERZ are expected to conduct themselves according to the Honor Code, treat gamers and members with respect and dignity, recruit fellow gamers to the community, and utilize the chain of command for ideas and issues.
Following are the responsibilities of each rank:
RECRUIT (XPGR)
A Recruit is a gamer who has been invited to get to know the XPG community. They undergo a week-long trial period, enabling the gamer to decide if XPG is right for them, and giving the clan time to ensure the gamer will fit in with them. After the trial period, the lieutenants will vote on whether or not to accept the recruits into the community.
PRIVATE (XPGP)
Privates are new members to ~XPG~. As such, time spent as a Private is geared towards getting to know the community and the professional manner in which we play.
Private’s Responsibilities:
• Continue getting to know the other members, learning the chain of command and participating in community activities.
• Learn the Honor Code and Rank Structure.
• After 4 consecutive weeks with no disciplinary actions all privates will receive the rank of sergeant.
SERGEANT (XPGS)
Sergeant is the official "member" rank of XPG. They've earned the privilege of choosing a XPG gamertag and are expected to serve as a quality representative of the community.
Sergeant’s Responsibilities:
• Remain active, consistently gaming with community members and regularly participating in events.
• Behave professionally, serve as a role model for newer members, and assist leadership in the acclimation and training of Recruits and Privates.
LIEUTENANT (XPGL)
Lieutenants are the Captains’ right hand; a clan’s Captain-in-training.
Lieutenants Responsibilities:
• Work closely with your Captain to prepare for the next rank.
• If, for any reason, the Captain is unavailable, be prepared to step in to assist with their duties.
• Review the list of privates to notify the generals about a being promoted to sergeant.
CAPTAIN (XPGC)
A good Captain must possess the following qualities: leadership, the ability to positively reinforce the XPG infrastructure, sound decision making, and dedication.
Captains oversees the activity of the community.
Captains Responsibilities:
• Prepare your Lieutenant for the next rank by training them to fulfill your responsibilities.
• Host a regular events/game night to ensure that your members remain active and engaged with the community, discuss issues & goals with community leaders, and that recruits are evaluated.
• Enforce the Honor Code and handle any issues that arise.
• Ensure lieutenants are maintaining a list of privates ready to receive the rank of sergeant.
GENERAL (XPGG)
Generals are the backbone of XPG and should be respected by XPG members. As a General, he/she is a role model for the Captains and all the members of his/her community.
Generals Responsibilities:
• Work with Captains. Ensure they are properly trained to uphold their responsibilities, manage the community effectively, handle issues and enforce the Honor Code. Speak with them regularly to discuss community activity their development and the development of their Lieutenants.
• Attend mandatory bi-weekly meetings, board of leadership & council of leadership meetings to keep up-to-date on community information, and host bi-weekly clan meetings to pass along necessary communication from upper leadership and ensure that community issues and goals are discussed.
• Communicate issues to higher leadership that are warranted.
• Maintain the community Discord.
•When reports are received from the lieutenants on who is ready to receive the rank of sergeant, the general will be responsible for updating their rank in discord.
CLAN STRUCTURE PROMOTIONS
The goal of the CLAN STRUCTURE is to create smaller, tighter, stronger more personal clans. A clan is a group of friends who gets on to play together. Think for a minute, when you turn on your console who are you looking for first? The people you look for or text before you turn on your console, are your clan members.
Gone are the days of big clans. Gone are the days of dragging *** to get your clan split. Gone are the days of waiting for a promotion. Do what's required for promotion, do what's required to split and it's going to happen. If it doesn't, go straight to an XPG.
With XPG being in so many games and having members on so many platforms we MUST execute our clan structure perfectly in order to ensure YOU as a member are playing with like-minded gamers and enjoying playing with your friends.
1 General per 20-40 Active Members (Limit 1 per clan)
1 Captain to a minimum of 5 Active Members (Making this a Squad)
1 Lieutenant per Captain per squad.
There are NO amounts or ratios of sergeants or privates per clan or squad!
The proven ~XPG~ rank structure will be followed exactly how it is written!
All recruits must be introduced to their squad members and get to know them for the first seven days in the squad. Recruits must be put into squads with members who play similar games and on similar consoles. If a member of a squad switches games or consoles they must be transferred to a different squad or clan if necessary. These transfers will be approved by your section leader.
All recruits must be voted in by the Captain/members of their squad after the seven day trial period.
All recruits must be read the Honor Code before a clan invite is sent to them or a user group request is approved.
Clans can and will split with a minimum of 20 members and a maximum of 40 members. This is a guideline, not a rule.
Clans will split when leadership in the clan is ready! Regardless of how many members are in the clan!
Section Leaders put the request in the help desk. Division Leaders approve clan splits.
Community Leaders will oversee that the split is done properly. They will add the leaders (General, Captain, Lieutenant) to check-in and be available to talk and offer advice.
Division Leaders will approve all clan splits. They will physically move the members via the website (user group) into the new clan. At this point, any inactive or MIA members will be removed from the clan user group to reflect accurate clan lists.
Sections Leaders will ensure the success of the split. They will add all of the moved members to their friend list and be available to assist with questions and recruiting if necessary. Anything to ensure the success of both clans.
The Clan must have a complete clan structure in place. (See above)
One General, One Captain, One Lieutenant, and their group of people leave to start the new clan. (10-15 members including the General, Captain, Lieutenant)
There is no minimum or maximum of sergeants or privates to complete a clan split. Clans and squads WILL NOT be judged by a 3-1 ratio! THERE IS NO RATIO for member count and there never has been! NO ONE WILL EVER BE DEMOTED TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS RATIO! When a sergeant (member) decides they want to step up and show their leadership ability in our great community they are free to approach their lieutenant, captain, or general to let them know of their desire to lead. This is not asking for a promotion. This is simply sharing a desire or goal. People asking for promotions will not be rewarded with promotions. Time in position/community guarantees nothing! Promotions are rewarded to those who actively recruit and attempt to better the clan/community.
A Section Leader must be extremely involved in the new clan as well as the split clan to ensure the success of the squads until the clan reaches 20 members. The Section Leader must also ensure that no one is left behind.
Promotions are given out by the next level of rank. Captains choose their Lieutenants, Generals choose Captains. Captains promote sergeants. Sergeants are members of our community and have earned the right to wear an XPGS, gamer tag. Earning the rank of sergeant is a privilege! The rank of sergeant is a rank that can NEVER be removed once it has been earned! Getting recruits and privates to the sergeant position should be the Captain's/General's number 1 priority!
